ACADEMIC DESIGN PROJECTS
DIGITAL LAYOUT & PUBLICATION DESIGN

Created a digital and print publication layout system using structured typography, custom visual assets, and organized page composition. These projects included both a commercial menu design and an editorial-style spread, each requiring a different approach to layout, readability, visual hierarchy, and audience engagement.
For the menu design, I focused on clear organization, easy navigation, and quick readability to help viewers find information efficiently. For the editorial spread, I used a grid-based layout to guide the viewer through text and imagery in a more narrative format. I also incorporated a blending technique to create smooth visual transitions between design elements, adding depth and movement to the overall composition.
Together, these projects strengthened my understanding of typography, page structure, spacing, and how to balance text-heavy content with engaging visuals.

OUTDOOR & PROMOTIONAL SIGNAGE

I created a series of large-scale billboard and promotional signage mockups for commercial brands, including Universal Orlando Resort and various quick-service restaurant concepts. These projects focused on developing bold, high-impact visuals that communicated clear messages within fast-paced advertising environments.
During the design process, I applied principles of brand consistency, visual hierarchy, contrast, and large-format composition. This experience helped me understand exactly how large-format graphics need to be scaled, structured, and refined so the message remains clear, readable, and visually engaging from a distance.

BRANDING & VISUAL IDENTITY

Created a series of custom logotypes and title-card designs for some of my animated concepts. These projects explored different visual themes, including pirate, western, and ninja-inspired styles, to give each design a unique personality while still maintaining a cohesive overall brand identity.
By combining playful typography, vector illustration, and character-based design elements, I developed logos that reflect the tone and personality of each project. This work strengthened my skills in custom lettering, visual storytelling, brand consistency, and designing typography for entertainment-based media.

ENVIRONMENTAL GRAPHIC DESIGN

Developed a series of high-contrast, scalable vector graphics designed for environmental wayfinding and public signage. The goal of this project was to create clear, accessible visuals that could communicate important information quickly and effectively in shared spaces.
I focused on legibility, strong contrast, consistent icon style, clean typography, and simple visual communication. This project helped me better understand the importance of accessibility in design and how environmental graphics must balance visual appeal with clarity, function, and usability.

CHARACTER DESIGN & ILLUSTRATION

Designed and developed a cast of original characters using a combination of digital illustration, visual concept development, and AI-assisted idea exploration. These characters were based on my own original ideas, with AI tools used as a resource to help explore possible poses, styles, and visual directions.
After the initial concept stage, I refined the characters into polished digital artwork with bold colors, expressive features, and a consistent visual style. This project helped me explore how emerging creative tools can support the illustration process while still keeping the final designs guided by my own creative direction.
